5 Best Rado Captain Cook Watches
Rado Captain Cook Watches have become some of the most sought-after timepieces for both collectors and enthusiasts. The Captain Cook collection was released in 2017 and is inspired by the company's vintage dive watch back in the 1950s and 1960s. The introduction of the watch was a bold statement by Rado, as it veered away from the traditional ceramic timepieces the company is known for. The Captain Cook collection is our favorite collection from Rado, so we figured it was only fitting to share our top five best Captain Cook watches.
1) Captain Cook 37.3mm Limited Edition
The watch that started it all. Back in 2017, the 37.3 mm was the first Captain Cook to be released to the public. The watch completely took the whole industry by surprise and changed everyone's perception of the brand. The watch includes a special travel pouch and three easy-clip straps to personalize the watch for any occasion.
Did you know? All Captain Cook watches include Rado's easy-clip system, making it easy to switch out straps to personalize your watch.
2) Captain Cook 42mm Green Dial with Rice Grain Bracelet
After Rado released the 37.3 mm Captain Cook, they realized they needed to produce a slightly larger model to meet consumer demand. The next version of Captain Cook watches included a 42 mm case size. As pictured above, the green dial version is a versatile watch to wear at the office or at dinner.
Did you know? The Rado anchor symbol at the 12:00 position moves in different positions as you move your wrist. A very popular hidden feature in all Rado Captain Cook watches.
3) Captain Cook 42mm Blue Dial with Brown Leather Strap
Our third favorite Captain Cook is the 42 mm with the blue dial version. The blue is an astonishing and radiant color that shows off both elegance and charm. Definitely one of our most popular models and you can see why :).
4) Captain Cook 42mm Blue Dial - 300 M - Stainless Steel Strap
Released in 2020, the new 42 mm Captain Cook is water-resistant to 30 bar (300m) with the same elegant blue dial. This version includes a slightly different stainless steel strap--for those that don't like the rice grain strap--but still uses the same Captain Cook easy-clip system..
5) Captain Cook 42mm Bronze Case Green Dial
As bronze takes over the watch world, it was just a matter of time for Rado to release their own Captain Cook bronze collection. The bronze used in this watch is aluminum bronze, which is composed of aluminum and copper, as opposed to standard bronze, made of copper and tin. What this means is that the bronze will remain relatively clean looking, which is something enthusiasts like and dislike. The watch uses a variety of different materials including ceramic, bronze, and titanium (case back) to create one breathtaking timepiece for the ages.
