The first watch in the popular 2100 line to be included in the flagship Casio G-SHOCK MR-G family, the titanium MRG-B2100B-1A watch takes inspiration from kigumi—the ancient Japanese art of interconnected wooden construction without the use of nails—by utilizing this design inspiration for more than just style. True to the ancient art, form meets function: Casio designed this titanium watch with 27 separate components in the bezel alone, inserting buffering materials between the components as part of the tough Multi-Guard Structure. The hour indices are formed by two watch face components, adding further sophistication to honor the ancient Japanese art.

Elegance and sophistication are the hallmarks of the mirror-finish black sheen and the kigumi-inspired latticework design of the face and construction of the bezel and indices. I've owned a handful of very nice luxury Swiss watches before (Rolex, Omega, Certina, etc.), but had never experienced a Longines before. I took a chance on this Hydroconquest 39mm (Ceramic Bezel), and boy, was I shocked—what an incredible value for the money! The watch feels heavy and substantial in the hand, the finishing and detailing punches far above their pay grade, and on top of it all, the design and execution far exceeded my initial expectations. For anyone looking for a Go Anywhere, Do Anything daily dive watch, I would highly recommend this guy.
